A private, community-focused home for recreational aviators on the northern Gold Coast.
Southport Flying Club offers members access to Mason Field - a well-maintained aerodrome, welcoming clubhouse, fuel facilities, and a strong community of passionate pilots & aviation enthusiasts.
If you own (or plan to own) a light aircraft and are looking for a professional, friendly environment to base it, SFC provides a secure and supportive home field.
Ordinary Membership
Ordinary Members can:

Base and operate their aircraft from Mason Field

Access fuel and club facilities

Rent or purchase a hangar (subject to availability)

Receive aerodrome access and fuel cards

Participate in club activities and governance

Membership is designed for recreational aviation. Commercial operations are not permitted.
Social & Visiting Memberships
Flexible social membership categories are available for aviation enthusiasts, as well as visiting pilots who wish to access the field for short-term operations or maintenance.
Hangar Availability
Hangars periodically become available for rental or purchase, subject to club rules and Committee approval.
Tie-down options are also available.
Safety & Community First
Southport Flying Club operates with strict safety standards and a strong “fly neighbourly” philosophy. All members complete a mandatory aerodrome briefing and adhere to clear noise abatement and operational procedures to protect both safety and community relationships.
